L’Orée du Bois (Where the woods meet the field)

AOP Vacqueyras

L’Orée du Bois is a white Vacqueyras vinified and aged in oak barrels, crafted with a meticulous approach that highlights the richness and depth of the terroir.

Produced in very limited quantities, this is a wine meant for aging. Over the years, it reveals aromas of ripe fruit, hazelnut, vanilla, and a beautiful minerality.

With age, its texture becomes rounder and its flavors more complex, offering an increasingly rich tasting experience.

A wine to cellar and enjoy fully as it evolves over time.

Creamy peaches and lemon curd are layered with floral notes. Medium- to full-bodied with a gently oily, textured palate balanced by steady acidity. Rich yet composed, with a smooth and persistent finish. Clairette, roussanne and viognier. From organically grown grapes. Drink now or hold.

Showing a medium gold hue with a kiss of deeper, mature hints in its color, the 2022 Vacqueyras L’Orée Du Bois reveals ripe stone fruits, fresh croissant, almond paste, and white flowers. A blend of 34% Roussanne, 33% Clairette, and 33% Viognier aged nine months in new oak barrels, it’s medium-bodied and has a rich, layered mouthfeel with integrated acidity and a great finish. This fabulous, layered, rich white is drinking perfectly today, and I see no reason to delay gratification. Drink 2026-2028.
